Job Description

Make a meaningful impact every day by supporting students with special needs in a collaborative, mission-driven school environment. This is a consistent, onsite role at an elementary school in San Mateo County, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM (30 hours per week).



What You’ll Do

• Provide direct classroom and behavioral support to students with special needs
• Collect and report on student data as directed by the Behavior Supervisor or Special Education Teacher
• Assist students with pre-academic readiness, social skills, and classroom transitions
• Help facilitate safe, inclusive interactions during recess and group activities
• Maintain calmness, professionalism, and flexibility in a dynamic school setting
• Work as part of a committed team of educators and specialists focused on student growth

• Minimum of an associate degree
• Valid driver’s license and personal transportation
• Must reside in San Mateo or San Francisco County areas (not open to East Bay or South Bay residents)
• 2+ years of school-based experience preferred
• Familiarity with behavioral supports and accurate data collection strongly preferred
• Safety Care training a plus
• Strong attendance, professionalism, and collaboration skills required
