Polishing Technicians Needed – Columbia, SC
Pay: $17/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

We’re hiring two Polishing Technicians to join a well-established manufacturing company in Columbia, SC. This is a hands-on role in a production environment where you’ll be responsible for polishing and finishing high-precision metal components that are used in critical, quality-sensitive applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual and mechanical polishing to remove imperfections and achieve required surface finishes
• Operate grinding tools, buffers, and other finishing equipment safely and efficiently
• Inspect workpieces to ensure they meet detailed specifications, tolerances, and cosmetic standards
• Follow blueprints, process documentation, and verbal instructions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Perform routine maintenance and care of polishing equipment

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in metal polishing or finishing preferred
• Welding experience is highly desirable
• Proficient in the use of grinders, hand tools, and polishing machinery
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints or technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, safety-sensitive manufacturing setting
• At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Basic math and measurement skills (use of calipers, micrometers, etc.)
